My Method
I believe weddings should be fun and taking photos should never feel like a chore. My approach is to provide direction through posing to create photos that you love. There is nothing worse than a stiff looking, awkward portrait. On your wedding day I’ll use my artistic vision to capture your story in a way that is unique to you. I’ll document all the important moments you won’t want to forget, as well as things behind the scenes and the small moments that make it all so special.
Facts about me
- I've shot over 200 weddings and even more families!
- Before I was a photographer I was a lawyer, but I originally went to college for music. My degree ended up being in women's studies.
- My favorite band is The Cure. 2nd favorite: Stereolab.
- I live in Bloomfield with my husband and son.
- I'm a super night owl.
- I collect vinyl records.
- I knit a lot of sweaters.
- Doritos are my favorite food.
- I'm a Nikon girl (Z6ii(x2), D850(x2), D750(x2), D700, D7000, F100... the list goes on!)
- During family photos, I give kids (and some adults) prizes for good listening.
- I have 2 sweet cats with their own Instagram account.
- I watch Frasier while I edit your photos.
- I edit by hand because I don't trust AI.
- Breaking Bad is my all-time favorite show, followed by Sopranos, then Friday Night Lights. #cleareyesfullhearts
- My pet peeve is photographers who take selfies while "working" your wedding.
- My work has been in a couple of cool places, like The NY Times and Martha Stewart.
If I don't cry during your vows, the parent dances will come for me.

Ann Marie is the best. She has an incredible talent of highlighting the happiness, color, and vibrancy of whatever ever she photographs. My husband and I were a bit anxious about getting our photos taken, but she made us feel so comfortable right away. Ann Marie is hilarious, kind, and makes you feel taken care of right away. Also- the photographs are just out of control beautiful. Her framing and styling is cinematography level incredible.
